What happens during a visit?
We follow a detailed, approximately 25-point checklist tailored to your home. Depending on the property and the access you provide, a visit may include:
- Checking doors, windows, and accessible entry points
- Looking for visible signs of leaks, moisture, or water intrusion
- Checking heating, cooling, and thermostat settings
- Running faucets and flushing toilets, when appropriate
- Looking for unusual odors, pests, or other visible concerns
- Checking the exterior for apparent damage or maintenance needs
- Confirming that agreed-upon lights, appliances, and systems are set as requested
After each visit, you’ll receive an update with photos and notes about anything that needs your attention.
A plan that fits your home
Many homeowners choose two visits per month for consistent oversight. We’ll discuss your property, how often you’re away, and any specific instructions before setting up your visit schedule and checklist.
If we notice a concern, we’ll let you know promptly and, with your authorization, help coordinate the next steps with an appropriate service provider.
More support when you need it
Home Watch clients can also request pre- and post-storm checks, arrival preparation, and vendor coordination. These services can be arranged based on your needs.
